Bro. Douglass Thompson’s discipline, integrity and commitment to excellence made him an ideal servant to lead the Genesis ministries in 1996. His willingness to follow the will of God and teach according to sound Biblical principles have provided a safe haven for ministers and lay members to follow his unwavering leadership. Has a call and pursuit in presenting authentic body of believers as seen in the book of Acts.

The foundation of his message centers on being both hearers and doers of the Word. Bro. Thompson is a gifted teacher with more than 50 years of ministerial service. His Bible class lessons are thorough and insightful in guiding believers in Biblical remedies to afflictions, emotional brokenness and spiritual hindrances. Although Bro. Thompson has been married for 40 years, the Spirit of the Lord has given him a unique lecture series for singles to follow, if they desire marriage, titled the “Genesis Model” for relationship building.

With Sis. Jessie Thompson by his side, the Lord has given Bro. Thompson the wisdom to counsel with people from all walks of life and to help change the lives of many. He and his wife exemplify a marriage ordained by God. They have raised four beautiful daughters, and now have two sons-in-law, one grandson, and one granddaughter.

In addition to Bro. Thompson’s labor in the Kingdom of God, he has also worked for more than 21 years in the Food and Aerospace Industries, managing projects. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies from Aenon Bible College; a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California; and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.
